Who we are. Our Story.
Kin Grove is a 7 hectare olive grove & homestead 5 minutes north of Amberley, North Canterbury, New Zealand.
Our aim is to produce an extra virgin olive oil that reflects our grove and the season. We harvest early & cold-press only, which yes, means we lose volume, but enables us to bottle an oil with lower free fatty acid levels and higher oxidative stability, resulting in superior-quality EVOO.

Why Extra Virgin Olive Oil? The Longer Story.
In 2014, while studying viticulture & oenology at Lincoln University, Alissa developed rheumatoid arthritis. This diagnosis was unexpected but not completely surprising with her family’s history with the auto-immune disease.
Her diagnosis propelled her mission to find alternative ways to manage the disease. An anti-inflammatory diet helped mitigate her symptoms. This is where her obsession with extra virgin olive oil began.
